JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik on Tuesday visited the family of Sajad Hussain who was killed after a bullet hit him in Batamallu on Saturday.

As per a party statement, Malik met with the bereaved family and expressed solidarity with them.

Speaking on the occasion, JKLF chairman as per the statement said that “Indian rulers, their Kashmiri stooges and trigger-happy forces and police kill our kith and kin with impunity and then even mourning and congregational prayers are disallowed and banned.”

He said that “Innocent teenager Sajad was killed without any provocation in cold blood and today his parents and other people were not allowed to hold congregational prayers at his graveyard.”

Later Malik along with others supporters visited SMHS hospital and enquired about the well-being of students who were injured in clashes on Monday.

He also met with the critically injured girl Iqra Sideeq who was hit on her head by at Sakidafer Srinagar.

Malik met with the doctors and her attendants and took details of her injury and treatment, party statement said.

While condemning the “onslaught of police and other forces on students,” JKLF chairman said that “shameless police and their political masters should feel some embarrassment on the horrific scenes of shelling and firing inside female institutions of which many images have been published in today’s newspapers.”
