Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman and patron of Darul Khair  ​Mirwaiz Manzil, ​Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Wednesday convened​ an important meeting of the central committee members of Dar-ul-Khair​​ ​Mirwaiz Manzil at Nageen.

In a statement a spokesman of the Hurriyat (M) said during the meeting participants discussed various aspects of the “Akh Akis” initiative under which hundred houses would be constructed for the flood victims.

On the occasion, it was​ ​ ​announced that Dar-ul-Khair in its first phase of ​​”Akh Akis​”​ programme would start construction of houses for the needy flood victims in Maisuma and Mandar Bagah on November 29. H​ead of Dar-ul-Khair Mirwaiz Umar Farooq would lay the foundation stones of the houses at 11 am on November 29.

“Houses would be constructed for those flood victims whose houses have been completely destroyed by the flood and who were not in a position to rebuild them. The victims were identified after the local Masjid Commites and Mohalla Committees recommended the names of the needy. The decision to construct houses in the said areas was reached after the Dar-ul-Khair survey team headed by Jamia Masjid Imam Syed Ahmad Saeed Naqashbandi had deliberations with local Masjid committees of those places,” he added.
