J&K Bank dedicated an automated teller machine (ATM) to general public in Lal Nagar locality of Chanapora, Srinagar, a company statement said.

“The machine was inaugurated by the Bank’s Zonal Head, Kashmir Central, Abdul Rashid Shegun, at a simple but impressive function. A large number of residents of the locality and bank officials were also present on the occasion,” the statement said.

With the inauguration of this machine, the strength of the ATM network of the bank has gone up to 827 across the country. In Kashmir province, the bank has a network of 458 ATMs.

While speaking on the occasion, the zonal head, Abdul Rashid Shegun, detailed out various customer friendly initiative undertaken by the bank. “We are leveraging technology to extend world class banking facilities to the customers at their doorstep. Expanding the network of ATM is one such initiative, which will be further thickened,” said the zonal head.

People, especially the residents of the area have appreciated the bank for installing an ATM in the locality.
