A woman was seriously injured after she was attacked by a bear in South Kashmir’s Islamabad district while one person died and three others were injured in road mishaps across valley.

A bear attacked and seriously injured a woman Hajira Begum wife of Bashir Ahmad Malik a resident of Shutroo Larnoo at her maize fields at Shutroo Kokernag. The injured was shifted to the Hospital for treatment.

A police statement said this evening that in Sopore, a motorcycle bearing registration number JK05E-2284 hit and injured a pedestrian Abdul Ahad Sofi son of Ghulam Mohammad Zaki resident of Babayousuf Sopore at Chotabazar Sopore. The injured was shifted to the Sub District Hospital Sopore where he succumbed to his injuries. Dead body handed over to NOKs for last rites.

In Islamabad, a tipper bearing registration number JK03B-9066 collided with motorcycle bearing registration number JK03A-7775 near Shuhal Mills, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist Zahid Ahmad Reshi son of Mohammad Shafi resident of Batengo.  The Injured was shifted to the hospital for treatment.

In Awantipora, a vehicle bearing registration number JK13B-4966 hit and injured a pedestrian Sajad Ahmad Lone son of Jalau-din resident of Pahalgam at Chandhara crossing, Pampore. The Injured was shifted to the hospital for treatment.

In Pulwama, a 09 years old girl Aksa Manzoor daughter of Manzoor Ahmad Bhat resident of Rakhi Litter Pulwama was hit and injured by a tractor bearing chasis number 803505715046675N.  The injured was shifted to the hospital for treatment.
