Two persons died while nine others were injured in different road accidents across the valley, a police statement said on Friday.

A Sumo bearing registration number JK02M/5517 hit and injured a pedestrian Zeeba wife of Ghulam Hassan Bhat resident of Bilal Colony at KP road in Mattan, Islamabad. She was shifted to District Hospital for treatment, where she succumbed to her injuries.

Meanwhile, a Van bearing registration number JK03B-3632 hit and injured a pedestrian Mohammad Ishaq Khanday son of Abdul Majeed Khanday resident of Wandivalgam at Wandivalgam in Islamabad,. The injured succumbed to his injuries while on way to hospital.

In another accident, a Maruti 800 car bearing registration number JK04B/3596 driven by Javid Ahmed Shah son of Yaseen Shah resident of Ompora Colony, Budgam and a Santro car bearing registration number JK05/8812 driven by Mushtaq Ahmed Bhat son of Late Ghulam Rasool resident of Krumshoora, Khan Sahib collided at village Bugroo, in Budgam. Both the drivers received injuries in the mishap and were shifted to hospital for treatment.

ATata Sumo bearing registration number JK09/5879 hit and injured 02 pedestrians Ghulam Rasool Bhat son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat and Mehbooba Begum wife of Ghulam Rasool residents of Umerabad at Umerabad, in Parimpora. Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, an Alto car bearing registration number KMR-3-Temp-Y-01M turned turtle at Parray Nar Hatmulla, in Kupwara. In this accident 05 persons travelling in the car got injured who were shifted to District Hospital, Kupwara for treatment.
