An army personnel has been killed as an encounter between militants and forces in a village in Kupwara district of north Kashmir continued for the second day on Saturday.
Two army personnel, including an officer, were injured opn Friday in the gun battle which broke out after police assisted by army launched a cordon and search operation at Marseri village in Chowkibal area following specific information about a group of militants hiding in a house, reports said.
The gun battle resumed this morning in which one army man was killed, they said.
