Police on Friday claimed to have arrested two persons along with 1100 grams of heroin from their possession in Kishtwar, local news agency GNS said.

A police official said during a routine naka at Giri Nagar on Kishtwar – Chatroo Road and arrested two persons Mudassar Hussain son of Ghulam Nabi Sabuni of Nali Bounjwa and Fida Hussain son of Ghulam Hussain Hajam of Shan Pura Chingam Chatroo in Kishtwar Town under suspicious circumstances.

During the course of search 700 grams of Heroin was recovered from their possession, the official said.
The persons were on way to Kishtwar and then to Jammu to sell the Narcotics. However alertness of naka party thwarted their evil designs and achieved a major success against anti-social elements, the official said.

“A case FIR No.29/2015 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act was registered at and further Investigations has been taken to find out the smuggling module”, the official said, adding that the recovery was made by the Police party lead by PSI Deepak Barti and Inspector Sameer Jillani,SHO P/S Kishtwar under the supervision of Abdul Qayoom-KPS, Addational SP Kishtwar and Yougal Manhas,SP Kishtwar
