Were the Kupwara families whose members were killed by forces during current uprising forced to meet Chief Minister who visited the town on July 23, 2016?

This something what octogenarian Hurriyat patriarch Syed Ali Geelani said on Sunday-July24, 2016.

He termed the alleged act as “shameful”.

“These customary tours are done to protect the chair of power and these power hungry people have nothing to do with the miseries of the common people,” Geelani said in a statement issued last evening.

The Hurriyat Conference amalgam headed by Geelani termed the act as “fake sympathy of Mehbooba Ji as her political Drama”.

“Hurriyat congratulates and thanks those Kupwara people who refused to meet the murderers of their beloved kins,” the statement said, “the Kashmiris have now become sensitive nation and they are fully aware of these kinds of traps.”

While commenting over the statement of Ms Mehbooba Mufti that “Kashmiris are being pushed towards economic and educational deprivation”, the Hurriyat Conference (g) said, “the real culprits of our miserable economic condition are these pro-Indian politicians who for their petty and meagre benefits sold every asset and resource of the state at the hands of the New Delhi.”

“Our water resources are not only enough to make us self-reliant but if these are returned to us, we can also assist India to address its poverty and backwardness,” the Hurriyat amalgam claimed in the statement. “The Jammu and Kashmir state is not any economic issue which could be solved by the economic packages but it is the issue of the Indian forced and illegal occupation against which the people of this state are up in arms from the very beginning.”

Terming the “education deprivation” statement of Ms Mehbooba Mufti as her “political slogan”, the Hurriyat Conference said, “it is the cruel Indian forces behind whom she is hiding and enjoying the power who have pledged to kill every child and student of the Kashmiri nation and it is you and your undisciplined and wild forces who are pushing the state towards the deaths and destruction.”

The Hurriyat Conference amalgam asked Ms Mehbooba Mufti that instead of blaming “here and there for the situations in Kashmir, she should restrict and stop the Indian armed forces from killing innocent children but being a loyal employee of New Delhi, she has a job to accuse other people for the faults and sins of India and its forces in Kashmir”.

Reacting to the statement of Ms Mehbooba Mufti in which she had said, “some people do politics on the graves”, Hurriyat Conference (g) said, “it is like Ulta Choor Koutwal ko Dantay.”

“You are the same woman who few years back was fond of paying tributes to the martyred Mujahideen and visiting their homes,” Hurriyat Conference (g) told CM. “The pro-Indian politicians particularly the ruling party PDP has the legacy of exploiting the freedom sentiments of the Kashmiri nation to gain votes and they are the masters of the politics of opportunism.”

“We are fighting for a sacred cause which is to end the forced and illegal occupation of India in Jammu & Kashmir and this struggle of Kashmiri nation will continue till the last Indian solider is present on the soil of this state,” the statement asserted.
