A young Kashmiri Pandit professional helped rescue several of his Muslim brethren trapped in Srinagar city during floods, a report said.

Identified as Sanjay Razdan, the telecom professional with Aircel, guided an Army rescue team unaware of the topography of locality of various lanes and by-lanes in Rajbagh, Rambagh and Jawahar Nagar, and rescued hundreds of people.

Razdan volunteered and actively participated in the operations. He guided the army team that comprised Lt Col Prashant Mishra, Major Ashish Sharma, Capt Pradeep, Insp Rajinder Singh, Sunil Chib, Manjit Singh, Sub Sikander Khan from JAKLI; and Aircel Admin Head Rakesh Singh Jamwal and Aircel Zonal Head Sanjay Razdan.
