Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon Saturday reviewed the works under execution by the JK Projects Construction Corporation Ltd.

Managing Director JKPCC PL Bushan and General Manager JKPCC Vakar Shontu attended the meeting, an official statement said this evening.

During the review, Managing Director JKPCC stated that there are 267 projects under execution at an estimated cost of Rs 2521.30 Crore, out of which works to the tune of Rs 1360.85 Crore have been executed ending June 2015.

He said during 2014-15, 11 projects have been completed at an estimated cost of Rs 230.05 Crore and handed over to concerned departments.

He said Training Block and Paramedical Quarters and Psychiatric Hospital, Rainawari completed at an estimated cost of Rs 242.80 lakh have been handed over to Health department. He said District Office Complex of District Industries Centre Kulgam has been handed over to Industries department recently and it was completed at an estimated cost of Rs 5 Crore.

The Managing Director JKPCC further said that reconstruction of Old Zero Bridge and old Habba Kadal bridge are likely to be completed this year.

The bottlenecks in respect of education projects were also discussed during the meeting with direction from the Divisional Commissioner to have all these removed at the earliest.

The Divisional Commissioner appreciated the works executed by the JKPCC and stressed on timely completion of all the projects under execution.
