J&K Bank Tuesday promoted thirty two Assistant Vice Presidents to Vice-Presidential cadre, the entry point of the Bank’s prestigious leadership band. The orders to this effect were issued today by Mushtaq Ahmad, Bank’s Chairman & CEO.
The promotion committee of the Bank headed by the Chairman, after analysing the performance of these officers in their respective key areas of responsibility and taking into account their leadership acumen and capacity to handle bigger and strategic roles, shortlisted them out of over 80 officers. The interviews of the AVPs were held for continuous three days – from July 25 to July 27.
Commenting on the elevations the chairman said, “These elevations are in line with the Bank’s growth and expansion plans. The growth path that J&K Bank is treading upon and the targets of expansion and business that we have set for ourselves had to be supported by competent and capable human resource”.
“We are hopeful that these officers will handle their new roles, which of course are big and strategic, with great sense of responsibility and excellent leadership qualities”, he added.
