The encounter between the security forces and militants near the international border(IB) in Arnia sector of Jammu and Kashmir has ended on Friday with the killing of 11 people including four civilians, three soldiers and four militants.
Sources said that the encounter ended ahead of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit.
“The firing has stopped and searches are underway,” sources said.
The gun battle started Thursday at Arnia in Jammu district and resumed again Friday morning.
Sources said the abandoned army bunker in Pind Khote village of the R.S was destryed where the lone surviving militant was hiding.
