Body of an eight class student who had gone missing two days ago was found today in frontier Kupwara district of north Kashmir.
The deceased identified as Aqib Nabi Bhat, son of Ghulam Nabi Bhat, resident of Gugloosa village of the district, went missing on Wednesday after he left his house.
“Today, his body was found in a nearby field,” a police official told GNS Friday.
A case under 174 CrPc has been registered and further investigations taken up in this regard, the official added.
A 16-year-old boy drowned while taking a bath in a stream at Kultoora area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Ataullah Lone son of Ghulam Ahmad Lone of Kultoora in order to beat the heat was taking a bath in a nearby stream when he drowned, the official said.
He said that the body was recovered hours after his drowning.
Meanwhile, a pall of galoom descended in the area when the body of Lone reached his home.
