Eight CRPF personnel and two militants were Saturday killed while over two dozen of CRPF troopers sustained injuries after suspected militants attacked a paramilitary convoy in Frestbal, Pampore area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
CRPF spokesperson, Bhavesh Kumar Choudhary said, “Two militants were killed in the exchange of gunfire at Pampore while eight CRPF personnel were also killed.”
He said that over 20 CRPF personnel were also injured in the attack. “The injured have been shifted to hospital,” he said.
An official told KNS that the suspected militants attacked CRPF convoy passing throw Pampore town, adding that the identification of the militants is yet to be ascertained.
