A man committed suicide by hanging himself with a tree in Bandipora while another person died in a road accident.
A man (name withheld) resident of Bandipora committed suicide by hanging himself with a tree. After completion of medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites.
Police have initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC.
Meanwhile, one person died while four others were injured in different road accidents in South Kashmir.
In Awantipora, a Tipper bearing registration number JK13-1421 hit a pedestrian Mushtaq Ahmad son of Ghulam Rasool resident of Chek Narwa, Banihall at Shalwan Wuyan Pampore, resulting in his on spot death.
After completion of medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites.
In Islamabad, a Tempoo traveller bearing registration number JK02AR-7811 driven by Maqbool Ahmad Bajord resident of Bon Talab, Jammu collided with a Taveera bearing registration number JK01N-7233 driven by Abdul Rashid Gashoo resident of Srinagar at Halmulla Bijbehara.
In this accident three persons Noor-ul-Amin Wani resident of Hakoora, Dilshada resident of Brad Ashmuqam and Aadil Farooq Magray resident of Mohripora, Achabal were injured. All the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Bijbehara for treatment, where from Noor-ul-Amin and Dilshada were referred to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for further treatment.
In another accident, an unknown Load Carrier hit a motorcycle at Shilipora, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist Manzoor Ahmad Bhat resident of Chakpat Larkipora. The injured was shited to District Hospital Islamabad for treatment.
