Continuing its humanitarian response for relief and rehabilitation of flood affected families, Indo-Global Social Service Society (IGSSS) in partnership with Faizal & Shabana Foundation-a CSR initiative of KEF Holdings, distributed hygiene and kitchen kits to 366 flood affected families in Natipora, Srinagar on Friday, a statement by the organization working in Kashmir since 2004 said.

Kashmir faced historic floods on September 07, devastating Srinagar city. The loss, economic experts said, is over one trillion. The post flood situation saw many NGOs reaching out to the people and working on rehabilitation of those worst hit.

“The Head of Faizal & Shabana Foundation, Dr. Joseph Sebastian was present on the occasion and personally handed over the kits that aim at providing essential Non Food Items (NFIs) to the flood victims,” the statement said.

The Faizal & Shabana Foundation is supporting relief items for 1400 families. “These 1400 families are part of 15750 families that IGSSS is reaching out for providing immediate relief assistance in partnership with various donors in 70 areas in three districts of Srinagar, Bandipora and Baramulla,” the statement informed.
