Commissioner Secretary General Administration Department (GAD) Gazanffer Hussain Monday inaugurated the high-tech surveillance system installed at Civil Secretariat here in presence of Director Estates and SSP Security Civil Secretariat.

“The project has been installed by a J&K based agency M/s Smart Learning after the PHQ floated its tenders. The project has come up in record time and would be funded by the Estates Department. The project would provide round the clock surveillance and monitoring mechanism, besides a highly advanced data base for storage of data relating to day to day moments/activities within the premises of the complex. The project would go a long way in strengthening the security grid at Civil Secretariat Srinagar which is being highly vulnerable and sensitive gives the security scenario of the state,” a police spokesman said in a statement to KNS.

“Similar surveillance system is underway at Civil Secretariat Jammu which is also being installed by the same agency and would be commissioned shortly,” he added.
