Paying glowing tributes to late Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru Islamic Students League President Sheikh Musaib Monday termed both of them as “epitome of steadfastness, devotion and sacrifices”.
“Despite being in different eras both suffered and sacrificed for the sacred cause of freedom and tolerated all ups and downs from friends and foes but remained determined to the cause. Their sacrifices have been recorded in the history of resistance in golden words and would be acting as a guiding light for the generations to come,” Musaib said in a statement, “these sacrifices rendered in different decades also reflect the connectivity of our long resistance movement and delivers a crystal clear message to us to carry forward this sacred movement despite all odds, guard it from external and internal conspiracies and work honestly and sincerely to lay foundations for an indigenous resistance movement to achieve our cherished dream.”
