Mufti Muhammad Sayeed-led PDP-BJP Govt is likely to rollback the controversial job policy after J&K Governor NN Vohra cited his objections to ‘New Recruitment Policy’, official sources confirmed to Kashmir Life.

Under the ‘New Recruitment Policy’, the recruitments—both gazetted as well as non-gazetted—in government sector from April 1, 2015 shall be contractual for a period of seven years and there after the ‘recruits’ will be regularised after giving ‘satisfactory’ service to state.

“State government had submitted the New Recruitment Policy Ordinance to Governor for his clearance but he returned it raising queries on the objective and viability of the policy,” official sources informed Kashmir Life.

Notably, the ‘New Recruitment Policy’ announced by govt last Sunday saw opposition and civil society castigating the Mufti government, calling it ‘irrational and anti-youth’.
