Militant outfit Hizbul Mujahideen Tuesday while paying rich tributes to the two slain militants killed during a gun fight at Hari Parigam Tral said, “martyrdom of these freedom fighters amply proves the fact that every soldier of Hizb is committed to Kashmir cause and is ready to sacrifice his precious life to take this freedom struggle to logical end.”

In a statement to CNS, Hizb spokesperson Salim Hashmi while quoting United Jihad Council Chief Syed Sallahuddin said, “India can’t suppress the feelings of Kashmiri people for a long time and soon a day will come when the divided Jammu and Kashmir will emerge as a single entity on world map.”

“The on-going freedom struggle in Kashmir has been receiving impetus on political and diplomatic front. India is feeling the heat and under sheer frustration it has been adopting nefarious tactics in Kashmir. It has been arresting youth using social networking sites, reviving Kuka Parray era, indulging in target killings and resorting to ban on sale and consumption of beef,” he said.

The statement read, “during the Command Council meeting rich tributes were paid to senior Hizb activist Abdul Hamid alias Muhammad Shakir who breathed his last after brief illness.” “Sympathies were expressed with the senior Hurriyat leader Noor Muhammad Kalwal over the demise of his mother and with another Hurriyat leader Haji Muhammad Sultan Bhat over the demise of his better half,” the statement added.
