National Conference patron Dr Farooq Abdullah Wednesday appointed senior party leader and former Member of Legislative Council Vijay Bakaya as his Political Advisor with immediate effect.
Bakaya served as Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir from August 01, 2005 to May 31, 2006.
An Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of 1970 batch, he served the state in different capacities for 36 years.
After relinquishing the office, he joined National Conference and was elected to the Legislative Council.
