Facebook services restored after brief outage

Social networking site Facebook Tuesday stopped functioning for a brief time in India including Jammu and Kashmir.

Users reported that they were unable to log on to the website. The social media giant’s Instagram service was also inaccessible.

Earlier, the social media site had said it is working on fixing the issue, several users had said.

 “Sorry, something went wrong. We’re working on it and we’ll get it fixed as soon as we can,” Facebook had said on its website. However, the website started functioning normally after brief outage.
