MLA Langate Engineer Rashid Saturday lead a demonstration at Kupwara against the innocent killings of youth in Narbal and Tral by security forces , which was reportedly attended by thousands of protesters.
The protesters according to statement raised slogans like “Army Raj Namanzoor (Army Rule unacceptable), Rajshumari wahid hal (Plebiscite only viable solution).”
Engineer Rashid while speaking to protesters stated, ” the inquiries called by the PDP- BJP government are just a sham and on directions of BJP bloodbath is being done in Kashmir as men in uniform have been given license to kill. PDP has virtually surrendered everything to BJP and is compromising on everything.Mere crocodile tears, lip service on killings has been forte of this government. Ordering probes and inquires has yielded nothing as these are toothless mechanisms yielding nothing. ”
Rashid termed the lodging of FIRs as mere eyewash and called upon arresting the culprit security forces personnel immediately and presented memorandum to Administration calling on immediate arrest of involved personnel.
