An employee working as a painter at Fairdeal Motors in Parimpora Srinagar Saturday alleged that he was thrashed mercilessly by the company officials after he failed to turn up in time. He said that he was stuck in traffic jam and his explanation irked the Works Manager and other two officials who beat him to pulp while on their instructions, security guards dragged him out from the office premises.

Ghulam Mustafa of Bemina locality told CNS that he had been working as a painter with Tata Motors Parimpora since 2003. “I reached the office premises some 10 minutes late as I was stuck in traffic jam. The Works Manager and other officials not only humiliated me but also tore my clothes and beat me to pulp. I went to police station who assured me action against the erring employees,” he said adding that the company is exploiting the poor employees and maltreated them.

Works Manager Fairdeal Motors while terming the allegations baseless alleged that said employee misbehaved with the General Manager. “We suspended him with immediate effect as we don’t require an employee who approaches police station against us,” he said.
