Srinagar: Condemning the detention of Hurriyat leaders, activists & placing curbs on the movement of the people on the death anniversaries of Molvi Mohammad Farooq and Abdul Gani Lone, Syed Ali Geelani termed it worst kind of ‘state sponsored terrorism.’

“They are playing with fire,” said Geelani while lashing at administration for laying unjustified restrictions and curbs on peaceful political activities.

In a statement, Geelani said the situations in state are turning from bad to worse and while criticizing PDP-BJP coalition, said that their brute approach towards resistance camp has evolved an explosive and appalling situation in state.

Commenting on the “submissive approach of PDP for securing favors from Delhi” Geelani said that “they have virtually handed over reigns to Jan Sangh cadre and following their dictates with their eyes folded.”

Terming them as pawns, Geelani said that it is martial law like situation and their rhetoric for “battle of ideas & dialogue not bullets’’ proved mere hoax.

Geelani lamented administration for their autocratic rule and warned of dire consequences if such brutalities and curbs are not stopped.

“Disallowing people to commemorate their martyrs is unethical,” said Geelani and people will be left with no alternative other than to take issue in their hands and resent through all possible means.
