After NN Vohra requested Delhi to relieve him as JK Governor owing to his age and health, the government of India has started hunt for his replacement, essentially the man from the political backgrounds, top sources in government of India said.
“We are looking for a political face, the one who could fit in the role of JK Governor,” top GoI sources told Kashmir Life. “As of now, there is no plan to install any former cops or army generals as JK Governor.”
Pertinently, there are various former cops and army generals claiming they are in the race to occupy Srinagar’s picturesque Raj Bhavan.
