imran-ansari-in-bandipora-on-oct-ist-2016Minister for Information Technology, Technical Education and Youth Services & Sports, Moulvi Imran Raza Ansari, who is also the Chairman of District Development Board (DDB), Bandipora, chaired a meeting of officers convened Saturday to review the overall development scenario of Bandipora district.

MLC, Yasir Reshi was also present in the meeting, an official spokesperson said this evening.

Giving brief account of developmental activities being carried out under core sectors in the district, the District Development Commissioner (DDC), Bandipora Sajad Hussain Ganaie informed the meeting about the physical and financial achievements registered under district plan of Rs. 98.96 crore during the current fiscal.

Endorsing various suggestions and demands put forth by the Board members, the Minister directed the district administration to take appropriate measures towards implementation the decisions in letter and spirit.

Stressing the need to put in place effective mechanism for timely execution of on-going projects, the Minister asked for ensuring transparency, accountability and judicious utilization of funds.

He also directed the officers to work with zeal and dedication to ensure effective and successful implementation of all schemes launched for welfare of people of the State.

Reviewing the arrangements put in place for Muharram-ul-Haraam, the Minister approved various propositions made in the meeting and directed the concerned officers from various departments present in the meeting including PDD, PHE, SMC and Food and Civil Supplies to ensure that all arrangements are made well before the beginning of Muharram.

Among others, Senior Superintendent of Police, Bandipora and heads of various departments attended the meeting.
