Amid tense situation in Indo-Pak relations, the activists of Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (SADA) Saturday conducted a peace march in Amritsar seeking peace.

The caravan led by Bhai Amrik Singh Nangal (District President of SADA from Amritsar), Bhai Jarnail Singh Sakhira and Bhai Papalpreet Singh sought United Nation’s intervention to stop India-Pakistan from starting war.

Interacting with media, Bhai Papalpreet Singh expressed deep concern over the plight of families living in border belt who have been forced by government to evacuate their houses.

He said that the Sikh families are suffering due to the “egoistic clash between a Hindu and Muslim state”.

Taking on Modi-led Union government, Bhai Papalpreet Singh said, “the Modi government was singing the song of war to divert attention of International media from on-going human rights abuses in the territory of J&K.”

He maintained that it was very unfortunate that the “Saffron Union government is devastating the families living in border belt in this war drama”.
