Complying to the High Court orders passed on September 22, 2016 in a PIL No: 14/2012 the Gulmarg Development Authority with the assistance of Revenue, Police and Municipal Committee, Gulmarg Thursday demolished a number of illegal encroachments at World’s famous Ski Resort, Gulmarg thereby taking possession of over hundreds of kanals of Government property.
During the drive two illegal hotels at Gulmarg were also sealed, an official spokesperson said this evening.
The hoteliers were advised to fence their leased land which is being demarcated by the Revenue authorities.
The hoteliers were further advised not to encroach upon the Government land and the encroachment (if any) noticed shall be demolished forthwith at their own risk and cost, besides initiating criminal action against them.
