The Divisional Administration Kashmir has established a Muharram helpline in Police Control Room Kashmir.
The helpline will deal with the requirements put across by the citizens with regard to electricity, drinking water, fire wood, food and civil supplies, a statement issued by police said on Wednesday afternoon.
The helpline will remain functional round the clock with effect from 30-09-2016. “General public is requested to call on 01942506508, 9858222333 and 9419077374 to register their grievances.
Youth Dies, Another Injured In Qazigund Road Accident
A Scooty rider died while his pillion was injured in a road accident in Qazigund area of Kulgam district this morning.
A truck bearing registration number JK14E-0556 hit a Scooty at Budragund Qazigund, resulting in on spot death of the Scooty rider identified as Mudasir Ahmad Mir son of Abdul Saleem a resident of Whapora, Qazigund and injuries to pillion Mohammad Umer.
The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Qazigund police has registered a case in this regard.
Girl Hangs Self To Death In Baramulla
A girl ended her life by hanging herself in North Kashmir’s Baramulla District last evening.
An 18 years old girl (name withheld) and resident of Balkote Dana, Baramulla hanged herself to death at her home.
After competing all legal formalities police handed over the body of deceased to her relatives for last rite.
A case FIR number 72/2016 under section 309 RPC has been registered and investigation has been taken up.
Man Injured By Bear In Srinagar
A man was critically injured after he was attacked by a bear in Harwan area of Srinagar district.
Ali Mohammad Dar son of Ghulam Hassan resident of Barjin Payeen Harwan was attacked and critically injured by a bear near his residential house.
He was shifted to SKIMS, Soura for treatment.
