Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) on Wednesday strongly condemned the on-going spree of arrests and other “oppressive” measures by police and other forces throughout Jammu and Kashmir.

A JKLF statement said that its Ganderbal president Bashir Ahmad Rather (Boya) was arrested by police last night and is languishing in Ganderbal police station.

The statement also said that Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, JKLF Kupwara organizer, too was arrested was slapped with PSA and shifted to Kotbalwal jail.

“The way rulers and their authorities are arresting people and slapping black laws like PSA on them is a glaring example of Jammu Kashmir being a police state ruled by black laws and oppression,” the statement said.

The statement added that JKLF chief Muhammad Yasin Malik has been kept in “worst” solitary confinement at Humhama.

JKLF Zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal and JKLF activists Fayaz Ahmad Mir from Ganderbal and Shabir Ahmad Ganaie of Kakapora Pulwama have been shifted to Jammu after slapped with PSA.

The statement said that advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt along with Muhammad Yasin Butt and Muhammad Amin Magloo have been now shifted to Rajbagh police station from SOG camp Air-Cargo and JKLF vice-chairperson Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi is languishing in police station Humhama.
