A court in Kishtwar sent all the three youths arrested by the police under sedition charges during last few days to jail under ten days police remand.

As per the details available with Kashmir Life, a team of Kishtwar police produced all the three youths namely: Ajaz Ahmed Kelam (Government employee), son of Nazir Ahmad Kelam, resident of Fareedia Road Kishtwar; Firdous Ahmad Baghwan, son of Khurshid Ahmad Baghwan, resident of Baghwan Mohalla Kishtwar and Syed Asif, son of Manzoor Ahmed, resident of Tund Kishtwar before Chief Judicial Magistrate Kishtwar Balbir Singh Jaswal who after going through the details of the case sent them to jail for ten days under police remand.

It is pertinent to mention that police have launched a major crack down on people allegedly involved in anti-India activities that took place in last over 80 days in Kishtwar.

Besides, these three youths, two people namely Abdul Qayoom Mattoo and Saif-ud-Din Baghwan were booked under notorious PSA and both are presently lodged in Jammu’s infamous Kotbalwal jail.

Meanwhile, life limped back to normalcy in Kishtwar district after no fresh arrests took place in the district in last 24 hours.

The traders association Kishtwar decided to open their shops after taking various stakeholders on board.

“There is no justification to go ahead with the call of shutdown after police stopped mid-night raids in the district,” traders said.
