All Parties Hurriyat Conference led by Syed Ali Geelani said that police are hunting for its activists and members in civvies while it alleged that murderous attacks have been accrued on them.

In a statement issued Monday late evening, the Hurriyat Conference charged Baramulla Jail Superintendent with “communal character”.

“In a revenge policing,” the Hurriyat Conference said, “Rajni Sehgal, the Baramulla Jail Superintendent, in brazenly violation of Supreme Court rulings shifted eight detainees to Rajouri Jail.”

The detained included Bilal Ahmad Pala, Nazir Ahmad Lone, Bashir Ahmad Bukhari, Abdul Hameed Mir, Mohammad Shafi Kumar, Hakeem Showkat, Aqib Ahmad and Abdul Qayoom Tantray.

“Police are resorting to murderous attacks on Tehreek-e-Hurriyat cadre,” the Hurriyat Conference statement said. “Master Ali Mohammad Dar and Danish Malik of Bandipora were attempted to be arrested at the barrel of a gun. While Dar was arrested, Danish managed to give them slip.”

“Police in civvies are hunting for these men,” it said.

The statement noted that son of Ali Mohammad Dar has already been arrested and is lodged in Hajin Police Station along with Salman Yousuf. “Relatives of the duo who visited to Police Station with food were shoed away with naked abuses,” the statement alleged.

Meanwhile, the Hurriyat Conference said that Fayaz Ahmad Kumar alias Narsimha is injured and has been detained in Baramulla Police Lines.

“His family isn’t allowed to meet him,” the Hurriyat Conference informed adding that his father is already detained under notorious Public Safety Act (PSA) outside Kashmir.
