Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan Saturday convened a meeting of officers of district administration Shopian to review the status of the on-going developmental works under capex budget, District/State sector, CSS, BADP, and NABARD etc.
The DDC Shopian G M Dar briefed the Divisional Commissioner about the physical and financial progress through power point presentation, a statement issued by the Shopian DC said.
The progress on various projects in Education, R&B, PMGSY, PDD, Horticulture, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Social Welfare, Health, PHE & Irrigation sectors came under review.
The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir directed the Engineering departments and other officers to gear up the pace of developmental works and be ready with plan-B mode for re-appropriations and re-allocations wherever funds could not be utilized.
He also urged the Agriculture & Horticulture Departments to ensure that they reach out to the farmers and growers in time. He also directed the officers to ensure full attendance in their respective offices.
The meeting was attended by ADC, Shopian, ACR Shopian and other District and Sectoral Officers.
The Divisional Commissioner while stressing upon the timely completion of on-going projects, directed the concerned officers and executing agencies to expedite the pace of work on these projects.
He said it is the endeavour of the Government to ensure that the people do not face any inconvenience with regard to the availability of essential services. He stressed on reaching out to the people and ensuring the mitigation of their problems. He appreciated the role of the Health Department for their services in the current unrest.
