Condemning the on-the-spot barbaric killing of yet another youth, Danish Manzoor, at the hands of “trigger-happy Indian forces” at Nadihal, Rafiabad, All Parties Hurriyat Conference (m) Wednesday said for achieving the Right to Self Determination the sacrifices rendered by people especially our youth bleeds our hearts but “strengthens our resolve”.
“The barbaric aggression on people demonstrating peacefully across the valley in Rafiabad, Sopore, Nadihal, Pattan, Ajas, Sadnara Bandipora, Dooru, Islamabad and different areas of Srinagar including Batamaloo, Firdous Abad and Shehr-e-Khaas and use of tear smoke shells, pepper guns and pellet guns on the people including women, is highly deplorable,” APHC-m spokesperson said in a statement issued this evening.
“Such tactics would not force people into submission and giving up on their rights as they are committed to achieving their goal,” the spokesperson said.
Condemning the raids on Jama’at-e-Islami office at Batamaloo and carrying out arrests of Jama’at leaders and workers, the APHC-m spokesperson said, “such acts of revenge expose the authorities and put their claims of democracy to shame.”
The spokesperson ridiculed beating up and harassing of media persons by forces and said despite working in a hostile environment, Kashmiri media persons were dispatching their duties professionally and with passion highlighting the pathetic human rights situation in Kashmir and “state terrorism unleashed” on people.
