Minutes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi warned those people “who instigate youths of Kashmir”, former CM and political rival of CM Ms Mehbooba Mufti, Omar Abdullah reacted to the statement.
PM Modi in his monthly ‘Mann Ki Baat’ talk on All India Radio had said, “all parties are united on Kashmir. They sent a message to the world, to the separatists and reached out to the people of Kashmir.”
“People who are using innocents for creating violence will have to answer some day,” Modi said.
Keeping a close eye on the happenings revolving around Kashmir, Omar re-tweeted a tweet posted by Press Trust of India commenting that “collective mistakes and mishandling of J&K” pushed youths “there”.
He apparently was referring to the handling of J&K state by Delhi and state governments.
“Every life lost in Kashmir is our loss, India’s loss,” Modi said.
Kashmir is witnessing a massive anti-India uprising triggered by killing of popular militant commander Burhan Wani on July 08, 2016. At least 71 civilians have been killed while over 8500 persons have been injured by forces in mass protests since July 09, 2016.
