Coming down heavenly on the role of “Indian agencies”, All Parties Hurriyat Conference led by Syed Ali Geelani Sunday alleged that these agencies try to “frame the fabricated cases” against the people in general and pro-freedom camp in particular.

“Indian rulers and their local goons try to muzzle the truthful and just voice of people by these mischievous acts,” APHC-g said in a statement issued this afternoon.

“Peer Saifullah, who is personnel secretary of Hurriyat Conference Chairperson Syed Ali Geelani, is suffering from brain tumour, (and) was rearrested while returning from New Delhi after medical check-up and was subjected to the worse kind of psychological torture,” the Hurriyat Conference said.

“His condition deteriorated and was admitted in sub-district hospital Budgam. Although doctors had advised him complete bed rest but he was again put behind the bars thereby torturing him to yield to ‘their demands’,” the statement said.

“India has been using these tactics earlier also but they have failed in past and will definitely fail in future as well. Frustrated by the present wave of uprising, Indian agencies are hell bent upon maligning the movement by framing cases against the pro-freedom people,” the Hurriyat Conference observed, “in another similar case, jailed Hurriyat Spokesperson Ayaz Akbar’s son Sarwar Yaqoob is still languishing in police station Parimpora for the last one and half month, despite his father being already under custody and his mother is suffering from cancer.”

Further, the statement said, Hurriyat Conference (g) strongly condemned the arrest of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Secretary General Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai from his residence and shifted him to some “unknown destination”.

“Sehrai is old and sick, and his health is likely to get worsened by the persistent police confinement,” the Hurriyat Conference informed.

Released just before two days, the Hurriyat Conference added, that Syed Imtiyaz Hyder was arrested from Hyderpora central office by police today. The Hurriyat condemned the arrest of Hyder.
