At least ten civil secretariat employees were injured when the bus they were aboard came under stone pelting attack in South Kashmir on Sunday evening.

A top district official confirmed to Kashmir Life that the incident took place.

“One of the ten injured employees is seriously injured and has been rushed to a Srinagar hospital,” the officer said.

Reports said that a bus carrying civil secretariat employees to Jammu from Srinagar came under severe stone pelting attack around 7 PM near Green Tunnel Bijbehara in Islamabad district.

The injured were rushed to Bijbehara hospital where they were given treatment.

More so, reports said that buses carrying NET appearing candidates too were attacked with stones. Given the complete shutdown in valley, government had arranged buses for NET appearing candidates from various district headquarters to centres established in Srinagar.
