The J&K Government here is taking all possible measures to ensure Radio Kashmir, Information Department and Doordarshan employees to attend the offices on September 1, this year, to counter the call given by joint resistance camp wherein they have urged people to block roads leading to these two GoI run offices and J&K Government run Department of Information and Public Relations.

Joint resistance camp has urged people to block all roads leading to “Propaganda machinery: viz Doordarshan, Radio Kashmir and Information Department.”

Sources said, “employees working in these institutions would be provided accommodation and security to ensure they reach their offices.”

It was learnt further that the employees of these three vital government run offices would be provided shelter at TRC and Circuit house while adequate security measures have been put in place to ensure their safety.

Reliable sources said that Director Engineering head of office of Radio Kashmir, Rajesh Babu sent a letter to Divisional Commissioner and asked him to provide adequate security to them in view of the protest programme called by the pro-freedom leadership.

“Babu has sought security for Radio Kashmir Srinagar office, FM Radio Station at Shankaracharya hill, HPT station in Narbal and Pampore and for AIR office at Kupwara,” they informed.

Sources said that subsequently a letter was also sent to Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, SSP Srinagar, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara and SSP Kupwara.
