Deputy Commissioner, Budgam, Mir Altaf Ahmad Saturday chaired a meeting of officers to take stock of functioning of essential services and availability of essential commodities in district Budgam.

The Deputy Commissioner took detailed review of the functioning of departments such as Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Health, PHE, PDD, Municipalities, Rural Development and Education, an official spokesperson said this evening.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned for ensuring availability of essential commodities and providing uninterrupted water and power supply in the district so that the people do not face any inconvenience.

He also directed the concerned for ensuring hassle-free ATMs service for the convenience of people.

The meeting was informed that the Food Civil Supplies and consumer Affairs department has distributed the allotted grains for the month of August among the consumers.

It was informed that there is adequate stock of food grains, LPG, diesel and petrol in the district.

The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the functioning of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Horticulture Departments and asked the concerned for playing key role in marketing and distribution of essentials commodities.

Taking detailed review of the progress of District Capex and other State Sector/CSS Schemes, the Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the physical and financial achievements of schemes under implementation in district and stressed on furnishing of photographs of works.

The meeting was attended by various District officers of line departments.
