One youth was killed in Prichoo area of Pulwama on Wednesday.
He was rushed to SMHS Hospital Srinagar where he succumbed to his injuries.
The slain youth was identified as Moammad Aamir Mir, s/o Gh Ahmad Mir r/o Ratnipora Pulwama.
“Aamir was killed when forces fired at protestors in Prichoo area,” one attendant said.
Reports from SMHS said that the funeral prayers were held in the premises of the hospital.
Local sources from Ratnipora said that Aamir was hit by a tear gas shell when forces resorted to firing after an encounter in Pulwama’s Lelhaar area in which an MA student Shazia and another engineering students, Danish, were killed.
“He was hit by a bullet and his pancreas were removed,” sources said.
