Intense protests erupted in Srinagar’s Noorbagh and adjoining areas on Wednesday morning.
Local sources said that two bike riding youths were injured when para-military forces hit them with a bamboo stick.
“Hundreds of people came out on roads to hold peaceful demonstration against the forces action,” local sources said.
The locals alleged that forces resorted to unprovoked tear gas shelling.
“The people were holding peaceful sit-in protest outside police post Noorbagh but forces disrupted it,” local sources said.
Sources said that huge deployment of forces has been made in the area. “They are breaking window panes this time,” a caller said, “whole are is shut.”
