Minister of State for Haj and Auqaf, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi Wednesday took stock of the facilities for Haj pilgrims of J&K at Madina Munawarah in Saudi Arabia.

Commissioner Secretary, Revenue, Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Executive Officer, State Haj Committee, Qamar Sajad, members of the State Haj Committee, Khudam-ul-Hujaj and other officials of Haj Committee of India were present in the meeting, an official spokesperson said this evening.

The Minister directed the concerned officials to take care of accommodation, transport, and communication and health facilities of the Haj pilgrims.

The Minister directed the Khudam-ul-Hujaaj and other officials to ensure that there was no let-up in performing their duties, which is what they are there for, so that each Haj pilgrim has a comfortable pilgrimage.

The Minister was informed that the State Haj Committee and Khudam-ul-Hujaaj are working efficiently round the clock and actively redressing the problems if faced by the pilgrims.

The meeting was also informed that State Haj Committee and Khudam-ul-Hujaaj recently received a complaint that the luggage of the pilgrim with cover number JKR-15481-2-0 had not been delivered to the pilgrim due to misidentification and the matter was sorted out as soon as the grievance had come to their notice.

The Minster was also informed that with regard to accommodation, all pilgrims stand accommodated comfortably.
