At least three persons including a lady were injured when forces opened bullet firing in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday.

At least three persons were admitted to Shopian district hospital this evening where they are being treated. “The trio have firearm injuries,” a doctor attending the injured said.

Protestors attacked SOG camp in Imam Sahib Shopian when forces opened fire and people were injured.

Intense clashes are going on in the area while this report is being filed.

“People from many areas had assembled at Imam Sahib who attacked SOG camp where CRPF too is stationed,” local reports said.

The local reports said that lady, who has been hit by bullet, was in her fields at Dagpora area. “It is at least 2 KM away from the SOG camp,” a local said.

On youth has been hit in shoulder, another in leg and the lady has been hit in her abdomen, a doctor said.

“The lady is unconscious,” the doctor said, “she was administered life saving drugs and was referred to Srinagar.”
