The united resistance leadership issued a new protest calendar on Saturday. The protest calendar comes in the wake of civilian killings since July 09, 2016 when popular militant commander Burhan Wani was killed along with his two associates in Kokernag area on July 08, 2016 evening.

1st August,  Monday: People, particularly youths will express their sentiments by writing slogans like “We want Freedom”, “Freedom for all, Freedom for Jammu Kashmir”, “Go India Go Back”, “Hum Kya Chata Hain Azadi” on roads, Walls, Shop Shutters etc; People should also motivate employees not to attend their offices except essential services.

2nd August Tuesday: Women are asked to assemble in their respective localities after Asr prayers and hold special prayers for Martyrs and for the success of the freedom struggle of Kashmir: the pro-freedom women activists should led the prayer meetings.

3rd August Wednesday:  Occupy main roads and a two hour sit in after Zuhr Prayers 2 pm; blackout 8:00 to 9:00 pm; Tarans (freedom songs) on Masjid loudspeakers.

4th August Thursday: Qanoot-e-Nazila to be recited in all Masjids in the Isha prayer; takeout torch processions after Magrib prayers.

5th August Friday: Leadership will march towards Hazratbal (dargah) to offer Friday congregational prayers and a public rally will be held there to pay homage to our martyrs.

The statement added that the shutdown will continue with daily relaxation after 6:00 pm.
