In a bid to ensure presence of employees, one district administration in South Kashmir has formed a task force committee.

An order accessed by Kashmir Life issued by Deputy Commissioner Shopian reads, “in order to ensure the attendance of employees in government offices in Shopian, a Task Force is hereby constituted.”

The order has been signed by G M Dar, DC Shopian on July 29, 2016 and issued on Saturday.

The Task Force is a four-member committee including ADC Shopian, CEO Shopian, Dy CEO Shopian and Tehsildar Shopian.

“The constituted Task Force will submit the attendance of government employees on daily basis for further course of action,” the order further reads.

The order copy has been sent to Divisional Commissioner Kashmir and all other officers concerned “for information and compliance”.

Notably, Kashmir is witnessing a renewed mass uprising since popular militant commander Burhan Wani was killed by forces on July 08, 2016 evening in Kokernag area of South Kashmir.

At least 52 civilians have been killed by forces while thousands have been injured in last 22 days. Authorities have clamped down curfew while united resistance leadership has called for shutdown since July 09.
