Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh has expressed grief and sorrow over the killing of two soldiers in an encounter at Nowgam in Kupwara district.
Condemning the incident, Dr Singh said that such incidents are the manifestation of frustration on the part of enemy who is hell bent on disturbing the peaceful environs of the State, an official spokesperson said Saturday evening.
Expressing sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved families of the soldiers, the Deputy Chief Minister prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls.
Dr Singh also wished early recovery of soldier, who got injured in the same encounter.
