Jammu and Kashmir late Friday night issued a statement saying that a motor cyclist died while his son was injured when they hit “some obsutructions” in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

“Miscreants had placed obstructions on Beerwah road near Hardapanzu to stop movement of traffic this evening,” JKP spokesperson said, “A motor cyclist identified as Ab. Ahad Ganie resident of Kunuru rammed into the obstruction.”

“He and his son Kamran got injured. The said motor cyclist succumbed to his injuries,” the spokesperson added.

Meanwhile, a news report said, “It is hard to believe that a wire laid across the road to halt traffic in the ongoing unrest could actually kill man, but the same happened after a man was killed on Friday evening when his neck got entangled in a wire near Chill Bus stop, on Arizal Beerwa road slicing his neck into two while on his way back to home along with his son on a scooty.” “Reports said that Abdul Ahad Ganie of Mohalla Qumroo, Arizal along with his son Kamran Ahmad were returning home on a scooty when the incident took place.”
