SKIMS doctors protest on July 28, 2016

Dozens of doctors assembled at SKIMS Soura on Thursday and held a protest march against use of force and brutal killing in Kashmir.

While talking to media persons, Dr Burhan Bazaz, who led the protest demonstration, said, “The force and lethal weapons used against peaceful protesters in Kashmir is being highly condemnable. The 50 killings which took place in on-going turmoil in Kashmir is not about 50 persons but is the matter of 50 dynasties.”

“Being doctors,” he said, “we can feel the pain of the bullet and pellet victims and what it costs a doctor to treat the injured.”

The protest was organized in solidarity with the people of Kashmir and “this is a message to the world community that Kashmiris are united against atrocities committed on them”, a statement issued by the doctors said.
