Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Dr Syed Abid Rasheed Shah reviewed arrangements for the upcoming annual Urs of Hazrat Hyder Baba Reshi R A (Reshi Moul Saeb) at a meeting of officers held in Islamabad on Thursday.
The 5-day Urs would be observed from 2nd August to 6th August 2016 which would be marked by night-long Shabkhwani, an official spokesperson said this evening.
The Deputy Commissioner enjoined upon the officers of various departments to chalk out a common strategy by putting in place all the necessary arrangements for the devotees coming from various areas during the Urs.
He issued specific instructions to the Chief Medical Officer, Islamabad to deploy emergency ambulance services with adequate medicare facilities around the shrine during the Urs days to facilitate the devotees.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned for making arrangements for adequate number of vehicles to transport the devotees from different places, provision of safe drinking water, uninterrupted power supply in and around the shrine, restoration of street lights, deployment of Fire and Emergency tenders.
During the five-day festivity, religious scholars from across the State will deliberate upon different issues including life of Hazrat Baba Hyder Reshi (Reshi Moul) Sb (RA).
